FEES
Fees have been computed to cover the costs of examination and administrative expenses, therefore, they will not be refunded or credited.
All fees must be paid in United States currency. The physician's canceled check is to be considered the receipt.
The Board strongly recommends that any fees sent should be by a courier service.
Written Examination
There are two fees. There is $920 application fee and a $865 examination fee.
Application Fee
The application fee of $920.00 must be enclosed with each written or oral application.
The deadline for receipt of the application fee for the written Maintenance of Certification is December 15, 2006. Applications received after December 15, 2006 must include a late fee of $315.00 in order to be accepted.
The final deadline for receipt of applications, plus the $300.00 late fee, for the June 26, 2007 written examination is January 19, 2007.
The application fee and/or late fee is NOT refundable and cannot be credited to future examinations.
Examination Fee
Physicians who are approved will be notified in January, 2007.
The June written examination fee of $865.00 will be due March 16, 2007. The final deadline for receipt of the examination fee , plus the $315.00 late fee, for the June 26, 2007 written examination is March 23, 2007.
If the examination fee has not been received in the Board office on or before the given date, the physician will not be scheduled to the examination in June.
Examination fees may be refunded, provided the physician informs the Board office of inability to take the examination no later than March 23, 2007. This request must be made in writing.
Annual Board Certification (ABC)
The fee for the general ob/gyn Annual Board Certification is $235.00, due with the completed application on or before January 12, 2007. After January 12, a late fee of $110.00 must be included with the application.
The deadline for receipt of applications, plus the $110.00 late fee is June 29, 2007. From June 30 through August 17, 2007 (FINAL DEADLINE), a late fee of $220.00 must be included (total $455.00) with the application.
An additional $50.00 fee for the extra CME credits for answering all 180 questions may also be enclosed with the application. If the additional CME credits are requested at a later date the late fee will apply. (See Questions about the Annual Board Certification Process)
These fees are NOT refundable.
Annual Board Certification (Subspecialties)
The fee for the subspecialty Annual Board Certification is $295.00, due with the completed application on or before January 12, 2007.
The deadline for receipt of applications, plus the $110.00 late fee is June 29, 2007. From June 30 through August 17, 2007 (FINAL DEADLINE), a late fee of $220.00 must be included (total $515.00) with the application.
This fee is NOT refundable.
No application fees will be credited against a future application or refunded.
