American College of Surgeons - Call for Abstracts

Dear Obstetrics and Gynecology Residents:

Below is a link that will take you to all of the gynecologic oncology programs. The deadline to submit to the ERAS system is May 31, 2008. If you should have any questions please contact the ERAS help desk at (202) 828-0413. Link to ERAS system.

CME CREDITS

NO CME credits are earned for passing the ABOG written or ABOG oral examinations. However, once you have reached Diplomate status, you may begin earning credits through the Maintenance of Certification process.

ABC ARTICLES

Although ABOG cannot supply any articles because of copyright laws, here are some possible solutions for obtaining articles.

a) The medical university library in your state should be able to obtain any articles requested through their med-line type service or document delivery service.

b) Your hospital must maintain a medical library if it belongs to the Joint Commission on Approved Hospital Organizations (JCAHO). They should have most, if not all, journals used for the ABC examination process.

c) Your state medical association library.

d) National Network of Libraries of Medicine, 800-338-7657.

e) Contact the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) at 202-638-5577 for their publications.

f) You may prefer using the Internet to find companies that provide the articles used in the ABC process for a fee. If so, go to your preferred search engine, i.e. Google.com . Now search on key words such as ABOG articles.

NEW TIME LIMIT FOR CERTIFICATES
