Candidates who are lactating may request a 30-minute break and extension of their exam if they notify the ABOG office no later than 90 days prior to the test. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 214-871-1619 and request to speak to an exam department specialist.
If ABOG doesn't receive your request within the 90-day period prior to the exam, ABOG can't guarantee that it will be possible to schedule an extended test. Most Pearson VUE Testing Centers have only one room that is available for breast pumping, so candidates are encouraged to make their reservations as soon as they receive approval for the test as these rooms will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis.
If you're lactating, you'll be able to use a pump prior to your Certifying Exam. Please notify the ABOG office no later than 90 days prior to the exam. Just email email@example.com or call 214-871-1619 and request to speak to an exam department specialist.
When we receive your request, a lactation room will be reserved for you. The rooms are booked on a “first-come, first-served basis.” If all of the lactation rooms are already reserved, you'll be given an alternative location in the ABOG Testing Center. Candidates are allowed to bring their own breast pump with them to the testing center.
