It’s critical to maintain updated contact information once your ABOG account and personal profile are created (account should be created in Year 1 of residency by your residency Program Manager or Coordinator). ABOG communicates important updates about eligibility or deadlines to the email address provided and held in our database. So, your profile and the contact information in it is our lifeline to you.
Also, it’s good practice to provide your personal email address for your ABOG account profile throughout your residency and check your inbox regularly. Some institutions use network security firewalls (for good reasons) to block external digital correspondence, so be sure your Program Manager or Coordinator supplies your personal email address when creating your ABOG profile.
