Self-nomination process
How to
Self-Nominate for a
Volunteer Position
The Self Nomination Form is available through the ABOG portal when at least one volunteer role is open and you meet the eligibility criteria for that role.
Accessing the Self-Nomination Form
- Log in to the ABOG portal
- From your dashboard, open the menu in the upper right corner
- Select Volunteer from the drop down menu
Completing a Self-Nomination
- On the Volunteer Opportunities page, you will see a drop down list of volunteer groups only if:
- The self nomination period is currently open for that role, and
- You meet the eligibility criteria for that role
- If eligible opportunities are available, select a volunteer group from the drop down menu
- Complete the Self Nomination Form by answering the required questions and uploading the requested documents
The Self Nomination Form will not be visible on the Volunteer Opportunities page if:
- There are no volunteer roles currently open for self nomination, or
- You do not meet the eligibility criteria for any role that is currently open
