CME Options
ABOG partners with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) to seamlessly provide continuing medical education (CME) credits to diplomates for successful completion of Part II article-based assessments. CME credits will be awarded upon successful completion of all CC requirements. The following CME options are available in the annual CC application:
Option 1: (ACOG member):
- You are an active/current ACOG member.
- You will earn 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from ACOG at no additional cost upon successful completion of all CC requirements.
Option 2: (Non-ACOG member):
- You are not an active/current ACOG member but want to earn CME.
- A $450 payment for CMEs will be assessed by ACOG as the accredited CME provider.
- You will earn 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ upon successful completion of all CC requirements.
Option 3: (Non-ACOG member):
- You are not an ACOG member and either do not desire CME or are obtaining CME from another provider.
- No additional cost.
- Diplomates choosing to earn CME directly from another accredited provider must coordinate with the other provider directly.
It is the diplomate’s responsibility to ensure they elected the correct CME option.
CME Fee for additional 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
You may purchase an additional 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for a $60 fee, at the time of application.
Diplomates who purchased extra CME must read additional articles and complete additional assessments. All article-based assessments must be submitted by November 15, 2026, and you must achieve a score of at least 80% correct on the assessment questions in order to earn the additional CME credits. Answering the extra CME article questions does not count toward the CC Performance Pathway threshold of 86% or the annual CC Part II threshold of 80%.
CC fees have been computed to cover the administrative expenses associated with the process and cannot be refunded or credited to a future year. Fees are quoted in US dollars and must be paid by credit card through the ABOG website.
