Health Care Administration, Leadership, and Management (HALM) incorporates expertise from medicine, patient safety, public health, health systems science, business, quality improvement, communication, law, computer science, economics, and other disciplines. This is a unique opportunity for physicians with management expertise and experience to set standards in physician leadership.

The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) serves as the administrative board with the American Boards of Family Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Preventative Medicine serving as co-sponsoring boards.

ABOG-certified physicians can achieve certification in HALM by meeting the eligibility criteria, fulfilling the credential requirements, and passing the HALM Certification Exam.
