Practice Improvement (PI) contributes to improved patient care through ongoing assessment and improvement in the quality of care in practices, hospitals, health systems, and/or community settings.
This can include activities that result in:
- Improved patient or population health outcomes
- Improved access to health care
- Improved patient experience (including patient satisfaction)
- Increased value in the health care system
Practice Improvement Activity Options
There is now flexibility in fulfilling the requirements of the CC standard, allowing individuals to select the Practice Improvement activity that best aligns with their specific practice and practice setting. Participation in one of the available Practice Improvement activities is a mandatory requirement each year during CC Years 1 through 6.
